I had already scheduled this giveaway before the tragic earthquake & tsunami in Japan. I have decided to continue with the giveaway, because I know we could all use a little happy.

I’m really excited to announce that I was contacted by Sean at CSN this week to do a giveaway on His Birdie’s Nest. I’m sure most of you have heard of CSN or even seen giveaways for gift certificates being offered on other blogs. When the contacted me, of course I went perusing around their website to see the what kinds of thing you all could get with your new fancy gift certificate. I knew they offered a TONS of different things, but did you know they have flat panel TV stands?


This jumped out a me because Hubs and I have been on the hunt to purchase a condo in the past couple months and at every open house we’ve been to, so far, everyone has their TV mounted above their fireplace. Hubs, is not a fan of placing the TV this high because he don’t like looking at the TV from that angle. Personally I like the TV stands more because is a nice place to hide all your stereo system, DVD player etc. I think we’re the only people in South Orange County without our TV mounted above our fireplace.

Okay, so I’m sure most of you are aware that Super Bowl is this Sunday. The Packers and the Steelers seem to two teams that have a great fan following. I know people like the Bengals and all, but the fans just aren’t the same… you know? So, I’m curious – who do you want to win?

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and it was a relaxing break from work. Even though I was sick the whole time, I still feel better having had 4.5 days off. Hubs and I met up with his sister and her fiancé at Hubs' Dad's new place in Santa Maria. My stepMIL made a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday and on Friday we went wine tasting. Saturday we drove home in time to take a nap and go to my parent's house for Cornish game hens. Sunday my sister and I saw Harry Potter and I finished up my final projects due this week. I have 3 days left in the quarter before my winter break - YAY!!
