I’m donating Chocolate Covered Rice Cereal Bars, gluten free - of course. However, since I’m in the middle of finals right now, I wasn’t able to make them this weekend and take a picture for the website… so I drew one.

I Want, I Need, I Have to Have: Headbands

This past weekend I wore the heart headband I purchase for my SIL’s wedding.
I’ve been thinking about purchasing a few more headbands because it looked pretty cute and was a big hit with Hubs. Of course, the first place I looked was Etsy. Why not? I love handmade things and I love supporting small businesses… also, that’s where I purchased the first headband without fail.

I Want, I Need, I Have to Have : Christmas Gifts

Guess what? Christmas is next week guys! Seriously, this year has gone by in a flash and I cannot believe it is already Christmas, again. I thought I’d share with you a with things I wouldn’t mind getting for Christmas, in hopes of helping you find gifts for the people on your list.


Product Body Crush on You Scrubby Wash – My all time favorite body scrub. Not only is this product is 96.5% Natural & Vegan it also isn’t super oily like other scrubs I’ve used… meaning it doesn’t make me slip and fall in the tub.


Print by artist, Nidhi Chanani – You may remember the giveaway I hosted with Nidhi a few months ago. I am absolutely in love with her work and I think her prints would make fantastic presents.



Food Themed Ornaments from Sur La Table – I seriously want all of these, so next year I can do an entirely food themed tree. How freakin’ cute would that be? I’ve already purchased one for my Dad & one for Hubs… that means I only have one ;-)

Favorite Things: Baby(ish) Blanket

Two years ago for Christmas I bought my mom this insanely soft and cozy blanket from Restoration Hardware. We’d spent the past year attending 3 baby showers and my Mom kept saying how she wished they’d make those uber soft baby blankets in adult sizes. As luck would have it I found one in Restoration Hardware that Christmas.


After snuggling with her’s a couple times on Christmas I went back the next day and purchased one for myself. It is by far my favorite snuggle blanket in our place. Hubs loves it too! We get under it together when we watch TV.

Due to the power of Twitter I found out that my favorite blanket is currently on sale from $29 (down from $59) at Restoration Hardware! Seriously, if you’ve even wished for a baby blanket in your size, you will love this blanket!

*Restoration Hardware did not give me anything to write this post… although I would totally take a free blanket… in Graphite ;-)

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and it was a relaxing break from work. Even though I was sick the whole time, I still feel better having had 4.5 days off. Hubs and I met up with his sister and her fiancé at Hubs' Dad's new place in Santa Maria. My stepMIL made a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday and on Friday we went wine tasting. Saturday we drove home in time to take a nap and go to my parent's house for Cornish game hens. Sunday my sister and I saw Harry Potter and I finished up my final projects due this week. I have 3 days left in the quarter before my winter break - YAY!!

Okay, so this is totally just a want. I don’t need an new apron, I already have 3 (one is just for Christmas though) sooooo, I don’t have to have this, but it is pretty cute.


This Snow White Apron is by Etsy seller, Lover Dovers. She makes a lot of really adorable aprons and little girl’s dresses. If I had a little girl (when I have a little girl, hear that universe) I’d buy her these princess dresses…

My Favies

The Hubs and I are settling into our new apartments and finding a home for all our stuff - old cwrap and shiney new presents. In an effort to spend less money (and because we think its pretty darn fun) we've been cooking at home most nights.

Our first night cooking was pretty interesting, we tried to make tomato soup (to have with paninis) and realized we didn't have a can opener. The next morning, we attempted to make pancakes, and realized we didn't have a spatula. Thankfully, last Friday we were able to open up the remainer of our Wedding presents at Mama and Papa Frenchie's house. Here are a couple of my favorite wedding presents, in case your in need of more things to add to your registry.

1 - Utensil Set - This 10 Piece Utensil Set by OXO has been a lifesaver! Can opener? CHECK! Spatula? Would you like solid or perforated? Because, we have both!

This set comes with a crock (to hold everything), 2 spoons (perforated & solid), fancy nylon headed tongs, 2 spatulas (perforated & solid), can opener, whisk, swivel peeler and a flexible spatula.

2 - Pyrex Set - Mama Frenchie has more Tupperware than you can shake a stick at (well you could actually shake a stick at it, but you would have to back up A LOT to get the whole kitchen in your shaking area) because she attended many a Tupperware party in her day. I don't think they have Tupperware parties anymore, or if they do I haven't been invited to one, and there has been some debate on microwaving food in plastic containers. Our solution was this Pyrex Clear Glass 17-pc. Bake and Store Set from Target.

We've already started storing leftovers in these containers. Plus, it came with a measuring cup! Something we realized we needed when trying to measure ingredients making tomato sauce Sunday night.

3 - Towel Hook - I don't know what man designed the bathroom in our apartment but they put the light switch right below our only towel bar. Thus, making it impossible to find the light switch if you, I don't know, want to hang-up your towels. Before we opened this Cero Spa Over-the-Door Hook Rack from Target, I had to give our guests lesson in where to find the switch before they used the bathroom.

Now, the light switch is super easy to find (it glows) and my towel is closer to the shower, SCORE!
