Hmmm. I thought I was already a subscriber to your blog, but I guess I'm not—shame on me!

My tip: If you're going to do an intense workout, eat a little something before. I usually have a slice of whole wheat toast with some peanut butter on it. It may feel weird to eat more when trying to trim the waist, but in the long run your body will thank you for having some extra, immediate energy to help keep the workout alive!

I love sending a zucchini through my mandolin and mixing it in with pasta! A great way to get more veggie and fiber in your diet with less calories!

I buy all the berries I can fit in my freezer when they are in season during the summer so that I can make smoothies or throw them into oatmeal, etc. even when they are out of season. Not only is it healthy, but it also saves $ since buying frozen berries usually more expensive than getting the fresh stuff in season.

If I go grocery shopping once a week with the mister it makes it fun and if we spend the money we will do it... if we don't have fresh groceries we will end up eating out or eating crappy frozen stuff.

I make berry smoothies in the morning instead of two bowls of cap'n crunch.
it's yummier, more satisfying and much healthier!
I also buy fruits and veggies weekly from a local market. If veggies are in the house, we'll eat them because we're too cheap to let them go to waste!

I love Cooking Light!

My favorite healthy breakfast: steel cut oats, with sliced fruits and some nuts or nut butter. Yummy and filling and perfect for cold mornings!

Love using the Cooking Light website!

I buy grapes (they are soooo good right now) and wash portion them into plastic bags ahead of time so they are easy to grab. And once the grapes start going soft I put them in the freezer and eat them frozen! I also use the mandolin (I think that is what it is called) and slice summer squash and zucchini squash ahead of time and put it in ziploc containers and then sautee individual portions to go with my dinner.

Shame on me for even bringing this up, but if you're in a bind and seem to have no choice but to hit up Mickey D's for dinner, pick up a 6 piece chicken nugget and a fruit and walnut salad for just 10 WW points!

I've been married a year and have put on almost 15 pounds! I need some healthy eating tips! Easy healthy snack are steamed edamame (they have them at Costco) with lots of coarse salt :)

Every time I leave home I carry a baggy with a fruit inside, so that way instead of grabbing unhealthy snacks when I get hungry I eat my fruit :)
I love cooking veggies all different ways!!

When junk food in the house, I eat it, so I try my best to avoid bringing it home at all. When I'm grocery shopping, I rarely go down the cookie and chips aisles and fill my cart with more veggies and fruits.

Here's something that my husband got me doing. (I'm guessing it's a California thing?) Instead of buttering up corn on the cob, rub a wedge of lime over it. Then sprinkle with a little salt, if you like. It's delicious!

Then for something sweet, I usually substitute gummi bears (my favorite!) with a handful of craisins. Satisfying! :o)

My tip isn't really a secret, but I've definitely noticed a difference in my weight, and so have other people! Make your own meals as often as you can. Then you know exactly what is in them. I take my lunch to work everyday and make dinner at home at least 5 nights a week. Not only does it save money, it also saves your waist line!
