4 - You went with me to the gluten free market and helped me find fun new gluten free foods.

5 - You bragged about how good my grilled cheese is to our friends.

I Want, I Need, I Have to Have: Headbands

This past weekend I wore the heart headband I purchase for my SIL’s wedding. GiantDwardHeadband
I’ve been thinking about purchasing a few more headbands because it looked pretty cute and was a big hit with Hubs. Of course, the first place I looked was Etsy. Why not? I love handmade things and I love supporting small businesses… also, that’s where I purchased the first headband without fail.

Here are a handful of headbands I have my eye on…

Easy Peasy: S.O.S. Dessert

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Sadly, I have class tonight so Hubs & I won’t be doing much for Valentine’s Day this year. (I can’t wait to graduate). However, I did whip him up a one of our new favorite desserts last night while we were hanging out on the sofa last night. My Bestie, Felicia, made this for her husband’s birthday a few weeks ago and we’ve been making them at home for the last couple weeks. It’s really easy and might be a fun thing to surprise your honey with tonight… you know, if you don’t already have Valentine’s dessert plans.

SOSDessert
Basically it’s a cookie with ice cream on top, but here’s how to make it…

I hope you all have a Happy Valentine’s Day!

Super Bowl Giveaway Winner

GoPackGo
As, I’m sure you know (or can see above) the Packers won. YAYAYAYAY! My house was all about the Packers yesterday, with Green Bay themed food and everything. We were one happy group at the end of that game :)

Now, to make one happy Packers’ fan even happier. The winner of the Valentine’s Day flowers is…
TheWinnerIs Amy from Dandelion Paperweight! Amy chose Green Bay most because she likes cheese and there is nothing wrong with that ;-)

CONGRATULATIONS AMY! Email me at HisBirdiesNest [at] gmail [dot] com with the address you would like your flowers delivered.

Thank you to everyone who entered my Super Bowl/Valentine’s Day themed giveaway!

Super Bowl Poll & A Giveaway

Okay, so I’m sure most of you are aware that Super Bowl is this Sunday. The Packers and the Steelers seem to two teams that have a great fan following. I know people like the Bengals and all, but the fans just aren’t the same… you know? So, I’m curious – who do you want to win?

GoPackers
Your answer could win you a Valentine’s Day flower delivery from me. I absolutely LOVE getting flowers and with the help of my friend from Moments Pass Slow, I’ve decided to giveaway Valentine’s Day flowers to one lucky reader… who picks the winning Super Bowl team.

Here’s how to enter:
1) Comment and tell me who you want to win the Super Bowl. (If you really don’t care, just 'eeny meeny miney mo' it)

2) Tweet about the giveaway and tell me about it in a separate comment.

3) Do all this before 3pm Pacific Standard Time on Sunday. You know, before the game starts.

Here’s how to WIN:
- In order to win this giveaway you have to have picked the winning team. I know I’m tricky ;-)

- I will put all the winning entries in an excel spreadsheet in the order you commented.

- Then I’ll use random.org to pick the lucky winner.

Flowers
What you’ll win:
A floral arrangement from me, delivered to you on Valentine’s day. Obviously, Ashton (nor I) will be able to hand delivery said arrangement, but a floral delivery service will. Hopefully, this snowpocalypse will be over and it won’t impair the delivery dude from delivering your flowers… if you live in that area.

So what do you think: Packers or Steelers?

I Want, I Need, I Have to Have: Heart Necklaces

Next weekend (the weekend before Valentine’s Day) Hubs and I are heading up to Northern California for his sister’s wedding. There colors are red, black and cream and I’ve been really excited about all the Valentine’s hearty goodness I could wear. I’ve always loved Valentine’s Day, which is unusual considering the first Valentine’s Day I had a boyfriend or a date was when I started dating Hubs… 5 yrs ago. (Loooooser)

Anywhoodle, thanks to Marissa from Marissa Makes, I decided to buy this adorable Mini Heartlette Crown in ruby from Sue Eggen’s Etsy shop, giantdwarf.

GiantDwarf1

I really hope I can pull this off… and Hubs likes it. So after I bought this I wanted a new heart necklace, so I went hunting and found…

VerreEncore’s Sweatheart Necklace

VerreEncore
I love how this one hang sideways like Tiffany heart.

Ajewelryboxx’s Red CZ Heart Adjustable Necklace

ajewelryboxx
I love the color of the gem, but the point on the back make me nervous about how it would lay. Plus, I’m not a huge fan of adjustable chains… but it’s so pretty.

WireAndGemstonesSilver Hammered Heart Necklace

WireandGenstones
I love that the heart is part of the necklace and not just a charm.

HRADesignsGlass Heart Necklace

HRADesigns
I really love hand crafted glass, my only worry is it’s too heavy. This designer is based in CA… I wonder where?

EclecticOrchid’s Little Heart Necklace

EclecticOrchid
This one is one of my favorites. I love how cute and dainty it is. It’s so sweet.

TwoLittleDovesDark Iridescence - A Sterling Silver Necklace

TwoLittleDoves
Can you tell I have a tiny obsession with tiny heart necklaces. I just love the dainty red ones.

Are you a fan of Valentine’s Day? Do you wear it loud & proud?
