Giveaway: Nidhi Chanani Illustrations

I’m pretty sure it’s been over a year since I’ve done a Giveaway and for that I’m sorry. *hangs head in shame* But, I’m here to make it up to you with something I’m pretty freakin’ excited about!

NidhiGate
Remember my post a couple weeks ago about my high school friend, Nidhi Chanani? Well, she has graciously offered to giveaway a print of your choice to one of my readers.**

NidhiFriends
There are a couple ways to enter:
1 – Visit Nidhi’s Etsy Shop and comment with which illustration you would choose if you won, and why. (1 Entry)
2 – Follow me (@FrenchieBirdie) and Nidhi (@nidhiart) on Twitter and Tweet the following about this giveaway. Come back and comment with a link to your tweet. (1 Entry)

Art makes me happy :) I just entered to win an adorable @NidhiArt illustration on @FrenchieBirdie’s blog. http://tiny.cc/fdbhp

3 – Become a fan, or “Like”, Nidhi's Facebook Fan Page and let me know with a separate comment. (1 Entry)
4 – Publically follow my blog and let me know with a separate comment. (1 Entry)
5 – Write a blog post about Nidhi’s art and this giveaway. Leave me a comment with a link to your post. (3 Entries).

Entries (comments) will be excepted until Sunday, September 19th at 5pm PST. Sorry this contest is only open to the US & Canada. The winner will be chosen randomly using Random.org and announced, on my blog before the end of the day, Monday, September 20th. All entrants must leave their email address or someway for me to contact them if they win.

**In order to keep it legal around here, I have to let you know that Nidhi is providing the prize for this giveaway and is also giving me a print of my choice for hosting :)

Good Luck!

I would for sure pick the Hippity House print to put in my own hippity house! OK, wait, maybe the Lamp Light print to spruce up my office? And now that I look at the Tree Songs print...tough choice. ;)

The Breakfast one reminds me of my little nieces, one is a redhead and one is blonde. But the Grand Adventure and Tree Songs are super cute too.

I LOVE "Early"! Such a neat print! :)

I WANT ALL OF THEM. Those caps are not an exaggeration, I am really shouting. After clicking around 100 times at least, I'm going to say I'd like to hang "Early" in our bedroom. Great contest Frenchie!

Some of my favourites are her new pieces like "shower" [kissing in the rain] and "immovable". But i absolutely LOVE her older pieces like "a grand adventure", "helpers", "on and on", "yosemite night" and especially "my favourite place"! As you can see, I basically indulged myself on her amazing blog haha

Out of all those, "my favourite place" is my favourite.

The reason why I really love Nidhi's art is because not only are her pieces just super cutesy, but they give me some kind of connection. Her pieces of her and her husband showing how a desi girl and a white boy could live so happily in this world without a care of what everyone else thinks is just so meaningful to me. I'm slowly building up courage to tell my parents i'm planning to get married to my boyfriend who isn't the same race and religion [yet]. I want them to see also that it doesn't matter what race a person is, that the only thing that matters is the pure love between the two. *sigh* just gotta keep hope and prayer right? .__.

ANYWAY back on topic lol... i would really like to be the owner of "Early" or "On and on" or "Tree songs".. each one has a separate thought and memory to me (: i'd explain them all but i don't want to ramble on hah..

i blogged about her work in Aug.

I would pick "Library Day" and hang it in our library room. Ever since I can remember I have been not just an avid reader, but an obsessive reader. I would ride my bike to both libraries near our house, and come home with more books than I could carry. I am very happy that this is a characteristic that has followed me into adulthood. Reading really is fundamental. I also love the beautiful fall day in the print, and Autumn is my absolutel favorite season. I love how the girl looks totally satisfied, clutching the book to her heart.

Ooh, so many that I love! I would choose "Hide Out," because the figures remind me of myself and my daughter, and how I feel about her. But "The Gate" really appeals to me as well -- just a stunning image.
