Fake Headboard? Because we're cheap.

Right after the Hubs and I decided to by a Cal King bed I started brain storming creative ideas to get a cheap headboard. The Cal King isn't an unusual width so I was sure anything I found was going to be ugly or pricey... maybe even both.

I got the idea in my head to paint a faux headboard on the wall instead. The Hubs wasn't a huge fan of my idea, which happens sometimes when...
A) My idea is bad
or
B) He can't visualize what I'm imagining.
I'd like to think in this case it was "B"... wait, I know it was "B" because when I saw this on kelly+olive I emailed it to The Hubs and he said, "Wow, you had a really good idea"!
