My Aunt, Uncle & cousins on my Mom’s side got me a Babycake donut maker for my birthday this year and sadly this weekend was the first opportunity I had to try it out. (My birthday is in July… it is now October. I really need more donut making time in my life).
Sunday, still enjoying our lazy weekend I decided to finally break-out the donut maker and what better thing to make at the beginning of Fall then pumpkin spiced anything. I didn’t even have to go to the store because luckily we still had to cans of organic pumpkin for last year.
I was surprised at how great the consistency of these donuts were. They were similar to muffins, which I'm okay with because I feel like I'm eating something healthier.
Have you made any Fall foods yet?

Both The Hubs and I both tried to make Pumpkin Bread unsuccessfully. His turned out kinda rubbery and mine got a little burned and wasn't sweet enough. We'll have to try try again until we get it right. I think we need to ask my mother in law for help!
Oh and your donuts look delish! I would definitely try to make them if I had a donut maker!
@Jen - Let me know how your bread turns out, I'm sure Hubs would love that.
P.S. You can make the donuts with regular flour and bake them in the oven. There are directions for that in the recipe too.
How did they turn out? They look delicious! I need a donut maker, because I NEED these donuts.
yummy!!! those look amazing. yay for fall and donuts!
@Layla - They are super tasty and kind of have the consistency of muffins. Fluffy though :)
@Lavenderpug - Thank you!
Yay! Good to know. :) I picked up some Edy's pumpkin ice cream today (it's gluten free) and am going to make a gf pie crust and make a frozen pumpkin pie! This is so not as hard as I thought it would be. :)
@Layla - That sounds super yummy! I'm going to have to copy you :)
